RULES & REPERTOIRE

* YouTube audition only. 

 

- please submit your online application form with YouTube link by deadline. 

· Recordings

- Both HOME or STUDIO settings are acceptable. 

 

- Neither editing nor sound effects are allowed. 

 

- For the title of YouTube link: [10th NYIMC] applicant name-age category-your instrument / voice category (for ensemble category, indicate everyone’s name and instrument in the description). 

Other information such as title of the piece should be in the description. 

 

- Accompaniment is optional. 

· Repertoire

Instrumentalist:

- Applicant must choose a piece from standard repertoire

 

- One movement from multi-movement pieces is acceptable.

 

-A selected piece must be prepared in its entirety without repeats. 

 

 - Memorization is required except contemporary pieces and ensemble category. 

 

Voice - Classical:

 

- One piece from Italian standard repertoire.

 

- One piece from your own choice.

 

- Both songs must be sung from memory.

 

 

Voice - Musical:

 

- One piece from English standard repertoire.

 

- One piece from your own choice.

 

- Both songs must be sung from memory.
